Week 8 online applications and tools

Thing 18 I really like the spreedsheet I created on Google. I can keep records on all sort of things, print them, edit them, this is handly.

thing 19 I liked the reddit.com (social news) site. The Things I wish I'd known when I was younger is so true! I recommend you read it!

Week 7 Wikis

Thing 16- all about wikis.
I found it interesting that some were very colorful
& some have pictures. Some very interesting thoughts on wikis also.

Thing 17- Sandbox I though it was fun to create my own wiki. I can use this for alot of things.

thing 10- I created an image
thing 11- I created an account on librarything and cataloged several books.
thing 12- I created an account on rollyo. I can see me going to rollyo to get the latest info on the subjects that I subscribed to.

Week 4- RSS & Newsreaders

Thing 8 and 9 I learned about RSS feeds and set up a bloglines account. Setting up the account was easy but subscribing to newsfeeds was a little harder than I though it would be. I'm glad I have good friends to help me. I enjoyed looking at the other participants blogs and I subscribed to several of them. I'm sure I will enjoy the Library Journal , It's all good and Unshelved as well.
This is a good way to see the news quickly.

Week Three- Photos & Images

Thing 5- I explored flickr. Thing 6- I discovered some flickr mashups and 3rd party sites. Thing 6- was my favorite, I created a blog post from the flickr site and added this picture on by blog from the flickr site. The dog looks alot like my dog Missy. Missy loves to play ball. Thing 7-I love my digital camera because I can see the pictures before saving and printing them and it saves film.

Week 2 Blogging

I set up my blog and found that it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

I register my blog and now I am ready to start blogging!

Easiest: Viewing problems as a challenge will be the easiest for me because there is always something to learn and I like learning new things.

Hardest: Having confidence in myself as a competent effective learner will be the hardest because the older I get the harder it is to learn new tricks!
